Banana Walnut Donut Holes

A delicious, healthier alternative to the classic maple-glazed donuts.

  • Donuts
    • 1 1/12 cups All-Purpose Flour
    • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
    • 1 tsp Baking Powder
    • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
    • 1/3 cup Mashed Ripe Banana
    • 2 tbsp Coconut (melted)
    • 1/2 cup Buttermilk (or non-dairy milk)
    • 1/2 cup toasted, Chopped Walnuts
  • Maple Glaze
    • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
    • 1-2 tbsp Milk (non-dairy milk)
    • 1 tsp Maple Extract
    • 1/4 cup toasted, chopped Walnuts

Instructions

  • Step 1
    •  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the donut hole pan.
  • Step 2
    • In a stand mixer, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  • Step 3
    • Add banana, coconut oil, and buttermilk and beat on medium speed until well combined. Fold in walnuts.
  • Step 4
    • Spoon batter into a large resealable bag and snip the corner of the bag off.
  • Step 5
    • Pipe the batter into the donut pan for 8 minutes until just cooked through.
  • Step 6
    • Place donut holes on the cooling rack until cool.
  • Step 7
    • In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth.
  • Step 8
    • Glaze the cooled donuts. Enjoy!
