A delicious, healthier alternative to the classic maple-glazed donuts.

- 1 1/12 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/3 cup Mashed Ripe Banana
- 2 tbsp Coconut (melted)
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk (or non-dairy milk)
- 1/2 cup toasted, Chopped Walnuts
- Maple Glaze
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1-2 tbsp Milk (non-dairy milk)
- 1 tsp Maple Extract
- 1/4 cup toasted, chopped Walnuts
Instructions
- Step 1
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the donut hole pan.
- Step 2
- In a stand mixer, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- Step 3
- Add banana, coconut oil, and buttermilk and beat on medium speed until well combined. Fold in walnuts.
- Step 4
- Spoon batter into a large resealable bag and snip the corner of the bag off.
- Step 5
- Pipe the batter into the donut pan for 8 minutes until just cooked through.
- Step 6
- Place donut holes on the cooling rack until cool.
- Step 7
- In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Step 8
- Glaze the cooled donuts. Enjoy!
