Lightly Candied Walnuts

This recipe is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy! Give this a try for your next snack.



  • 3/4 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 tbsp White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Water
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper


  • Step 1 
    • Place walnuts in a small sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add water and stir until water begins to evaporate and simmer.
  • Step 2
    • Add both sugars and cayenne pepper, stirring constantly to mix well. The consistency will go from watery to sticky.
  • Step 3
    • Stir for about 4-5 minutes, or until walnuts become slightly less sticky, but stop cooking before they become grainy.
  • Step 4
    • Place on a plate to let them cool and harden.
