Walnut Biscotti

The Crain Family award-winning biscotti recipe.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup chopped Walnuts
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Cloves
  • 2 tsp Water
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/2 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder

 

Instructions

  • Step 1
    • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    • Combine the first nine ingredients in a bowl and beat on low speed for 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    • Gradually mix in flour and baking powder, beat until well blended.
  • Step 4
    • Spread dough out on a lightly floured surface and shape dough into 3 rectangles (4x6-inch)
  • Step 5
    • Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and then place the rectangles on the baking sheet.
  • Step 6
    • Flatten the rectangles so they are 3/4 inches thick then place in the oven for 35 minutes.
  • Step 7
    • Remove and enjoy. We like ours with coffee!
