The Crain Family award-winning biscotti recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 cup chopped Walnuts
- 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Cloves
- 2 tsp Water
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 Egg
- 2 1/2 cup Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
Instructions
- Step 1
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Step 2
- Combine the first nine ingredients in a bowl and beat on low speed for 1 minute.
- Step 3
- Gradually mix in flour and baking powder, beat until well blended.
- Step 4
- Spread dough out on a lightly floured surface and shape dough into 3 rectangles (4x6-inch)
- Step 5
- Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and then place the rectangles on the baking sheet.
- Step 6
- Flatten the rectangles so they are 3/4 inches thick then place in the oven for 35 minutes.
- Step 7
- Remove and enjoy. We like ours with coffee!
